Crisp Sugar Cookies

2 cups sifted all purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

½ cup butter (1 stick), room temperature

1 cup sugar

1 egg

¼ cup milk

Sift flour and baking powder. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, then add the egg. Add dry ingredients alternatively with the milk until combined. Wrap in saran and chill for 30 minutes.

Preheat over to 400F. Roll out the dough to ½” thickness on a floured board. Cut into desired shapes and transfer to a greased cookie sheet (I use Pam spray). Bake 7-9 minutes.

These are simple but oh so good!
