Grilled Tuna

Fishy fish is one of the banes of my existence. This is the beauty in tuna, though  it's not fishy. This particular recipe is especially not fishy.

Dressing

  • 3 hard-boiled egg whites only, small dice
  • 1 rib celery, small dice
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise (or Miracle Whip)
  • 3 small sweet pickled gherkins, minced
  • 3 tsp. capers, rinsed

Mix all ingredients and refrigerate. I like a lot of dressing. If you're like me double the amount.

Tuna

  • 2 tbsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. cayenne
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ground white pepper
  • 1 tsp. powdered thyme
  • 1 tsp. dry ginger
  • 1 tsp. ground cumin

Combine spices well. Lightly coat tuna with oil, then dredge in spice mixtures and grill. Serve on lettuce leaves and the dressing.
