Lamb Shanks

 Ingredients

  • 4 lamb shanks
  • 4 carrots, peeled and chunked
  • 1 onion, peeled and chunked
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled and minced
  • 4 sprigs fresh thyme or 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 sprig rosemary or ½ tsp dried rosemary
  • 2 ½ cups water
  • 3 cubes beef bouillon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Some add peeled, cubed potatoes but Arik prefers rice on the side

 Directions

  • Place all ingredients in a Dutch oven (I use Le Crueset) and put in a preheated 350F over for 2 hours.
