Savta Yehudit's Stone Fruit Cake



  • 7 oz sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/3 cups flour (1/3 flour, 1/3 potato flour, 1/3 cornstarch)
  • 1 tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 10 plums or peaches or apricots
  • 1stick butter


  1. Beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Add flour and baking powder slowly.
  2. Preheat oven to 350F. Spray a 9" round or 8" square cake pan. Pour in the batter. Cut the fruit in half and place in the batter, round-side up. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown. The dough will rise around and often oven the fruit.
