Gingerbread squares

  • 1 1/4 flour
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp cloves

Mix above. Add

  • 1/2 cup safflower oil
  • 1/2 cup mild mollases
  • 1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup boiling water.

Mix. 8" square pan, 30 minutes 350
